Cornell University – AAP
Cornell’s College of Architecture, Art, and Planning is one of the oldest and most prestigious schools of its discipline.
Krate, in partnership with Soulellis Studio, worked with Cornell over a 15 month period to unearth and develop a forward-thinking direction for the school’s identity and their online presence. After a sweeping examination of content and architecture, six legacy websites were combined under the umbrella of a new, unified site. A robust content management system was erected, new avenues of dynamic content were established, and student and alumni work were integrated throughout—adding vibrant visual reminders about the talent and creativity that Cornell nurtures.
Krate’s ongoing relationship with Cornell AAP led to further collaboration and exploration in a range of areas. Website additions included implementation of a custom campus webcam, interactive timelines, and multimedia streams that can be pushed out to flat panel LCDs throughout the campus.

Krate leveraged the existing website content management system to push multimedia streams throughout campus. Eight different screens, each powered by a Mac mini, deliver unique content feeds with upcoming event listings, student work and HD streaming videos. Photos © Soulellis Studio.
